The funeral takes place at the New Baptist Church in Newark, New Jersey - where Whitney grew up - and is by invitation only.
According to
CNN, 1500 guests are expected with about a dozen celebrities among them including Kevin Costner who'll be speaking; and Stevie Wonder and Aretha Franklin who'll be performing.
Gospel singer, family friend and pastor Marvin Winans will be leading the eulogy.
The Associated Press are the only news agency who are being allowed video access to proceedings so they'll be broadcasting the service online, and to various news channels round the world.
