Scandal and 7de laan deserve to be nominated not Generations. These will kill the spirits of ppl behind these 2 sopies including actors/esses in these sopies, tthese judges they just do not know what they want.

18 Sep 2007 08:48

Everybody unhappy about the nominations need to realize that productions needed to enter themselves in order to be nominated. If you don't enter (like all other award shows accross the world) you won't be nominated. So, maybe the problem lies with ETV and MNET for not entering their shows.

18 Sep 2007 09:35

in the drama category i think When we black is taking most of the awards.
in the soapie category i think Scandal and Isidingo will be sharing them, but they will leave 2 to 3 for Generations and Muvhango to console themselves.
comedies i only know city Sesla and Stokvel, so i can't say much.
the last category, no comment.

who are this people? and which planet are they from? Generations for best ensemble cast? This is making a mockery of South African entertainment industry. Thank God, Connie Ferguson (or whatever her surname is this week) was not nominated. Why was Vatiswa Ndara not nominated? Brenda Ngxoli is great and deserves to win.

Brilliant tizoz. I especially loved your award for Best Post Production in a Soap going to Scandal! - I think you're spot on the money. It's the best any show from e.tv could hope for, unfortunately - these awards should be called The SABC In-House Awards.

\What a joke.

Talk about premonition! Are those the real answers, or who you think should win!

>>Thank God, Connie Ferguson (or whatever her surname is this week) was not nominated. <<
LOL!!

Im upset about the lack of 7de Laan/Egoli, and excessivness of Generations and SABC shows...

Glad to see The Lab is there, thats one good thing but seriously there is some dodgyness there with Forgive and Forget. Luckily no one wanted to rehash old wounds with Backstage nominations!!

As we all know Generations is Mzazi's top soapie,And this year they deserve 2 take all awards like Isidingo last year.
O my God, i dont see anything from 7de Laan or is my eyes.Guys try next year.
I dont think Muvhango deserves the nominations they usually replace and replace. What's their next replacement?Lets wait and see.

Tizoz  I think you've got it...BUT your Best Actresss MUSt GO TO BRENDA NGXOLI...haayi at least let her get this one  since she didnt win the EMMY

I think these productions should scoop some awards because they have provided quality viewing if not through storyline, it was through production or acting...
The Lab
 Hardcopy
Scandal
Society/
 Home Affairs

Generations should NOT have ben included anywhere...EXCEPT maybe on the Best Comedy Nominations

khaphela WTF.
Scandal should be in most nominations not Generations, the show is rocking at the moment.

lejazz
27 Sep 2007 06:09

I'm really shocked the way the nominations are.Isidingo has got many nominations as last year.Tzozo might be right with those results cos that's what happened last year.I think Generations deserves to get awards as Isidingo did.It is really painful to see that Scandal got one nomination.I think they have to increase the number of nominees to five at least.Only four soapies are recognized in those damn awards.7de Laan  and Egoli didn't even get a single nomination.I think they really discourage those actors cos they are not recognized.Michell Botes is still nominated as best actress even though she is no longer appearing on our screens. When it comes to dramas The Lab is leading with handful nominations, and I have a feeling that it will scoop all of them. This simply means that departments of 7de Laan and Scandal are not good enough cos all over is Muvhango,Isidingo and Generations.I THINK THIS NONSENSE OF safta must be cancelled cos it favours certain programmes only.
