Time change! ...A heads-up that SABC1's live broadcast of Saturday's
SAMAs has changed time from 20h00 to 20h30.
The shift in time impacts on the voting lines for the Record of the Year category which will stay open longer. The lines will now close at 22h00 on Saturday and the winner will be announced towards the end of the ceremony, at 23h30.
This the final timeline for the voting procedure for the category:
Thursday, 9 May at 12h00: the Top 20 voting lines close.
Friday, 10 May at 08h00: the Top 5 contenders are announced and the voting lines re-open to vote for the winner.
Saturday, 11 May at 22h00: the Top 5 voting lines close.
Both RGB and LIVE Amp will be covering the SAMAs too. RGB will be on the Y'ello carpet at 18h30 on Saturday - Phat Joe and Pearl Thusi will be covering the guest arrivals, fashion crimes etc.
On Friday evening (10 May) LIVE will also be reporting from Sun City to cover the Friday evening ceremony - which features the technical categories of the awards and also delivers the Lifetime Achievement Awards.
Coverage will be on LIVE at the show's usual time from 21h00 to 22h00.
