TVSA has learned that TopTV has signed community TV channel Tshwane TV (TTV) as a new channel on the platform.
Word from our insider sources is that the deal has just been sealed and will see the introduction of the channel on Monday, 1 October.
TTV first debuted in June last year and has been available to viewers in the Tshwane area and surrounds on the same frequency as SABC1, 2 ad 3. The move to TopTV means it will now be accessible to viewers around the country for the first time.
Described as an "urban channel", programming includes music shows, sport, documentaries and soapies, most notably Generations Season 1. The channel's rebroadcasting the soapie from Episode 1, on weekdays at 19h30.
Other titles in the line-up include the makeover series Designer Guys, the documentary series Be The Creature and re-runs of the popular Pure Monate Show.
It'll be on channel 185, as part of TopTV's Variety package.
