The opening audition rounds of
Idols 5 ended in Monday's episode (9 February) and it's time for the 73 contenders who've been chosen from round the country to be put to the test to see if they have the chops for the viewer voting rounds.
In Sunday's upcoming episode (15 February) everyone will be put through the Theatre Phase of the competition where they'll learn to sing (we repeat - hopefully!), perform in groups - both to music and acapella - and generally try to keep a tune to impress.
The footage in the episode will include both onstage performances, as well as the backstage stabbings going on, while the judges seperate the useless from the hopefuls.
The process happens in Jozi and the action takes place over a couple of days.
Idols 5 is on M-Net on Sundays at 17h30, Mondays at 19h00 and on Dstv Channel 137, 24-hours.
