e.tv has announced that a second season of the reality show
Forgive & Forget is currently in production to premiere on Tuesday 12 February, 2008 at 20h30.
Inspired by true stories of people seeking forgiveness for wrongdoings done in the past, the show gives viewers an opportunity to make amends and show their remorse to their loved ones on national TV.
Former Miss Globe SA and business woman Doris Msibi takes over from Mpho Sono as the host of the season and the show's looking for people who want to be involved by sharing their search for forgiveness.
HOW TO ENTERIf you're someone who's looking to make amends with a loved one then you can submit your story to the show with details of who you would like to reconcile with and the reasons for the rift.
Selected candidates will need to undertake the emotional journey on-screen; that is, they'll need to convince the host (and, in turn, viewers) that they're truly remorseful.
If you'd like to be on the show you can e-mail your story to
forgive&forget@endemol.co.za or fax:
(011) 465 6001.
THE MECHANICS OF THE SHOW
The Forgive & Forget team goes to the wronged party, plays them a series of clues so that they can work out who may be seeking their forgiveness and then reveals to viewers what the person is seeking forgiveness for.
Once the wronged party knows who's looking to be forgiven they're taken to the Forgive & Forget mobile studio where a full tape of the person asking for forgiveness is played. Once the tape is played Doris asks if forgiveness is granted - if it isn't she knocks on the window and the driver drives off and if it is, then the forgiver is asked to open the door and reconcile with the person who's asked forgiveness.
