SABC3 has put in a second season order of the cooking reality show
The Ultimate Braai Master.
The series debuted on the channel in September last year and has launched a search for contestants to join the new season that's been scheduled to premiere in spring 2013.
The first season featured 15 teams of contestants who faced a variety of cooking and braai challenges while navigating the highs and lows of a road trip.
The season was won by Capetonians Tubby Melidonis and Elaine Ensor-Smith who dared to win and did. The pair competed under the team name "Who Dares, Wins" and won R500 000 cash, a new Renault Koleos 4x4 (valued at R325 000) and a Cadac BraaiMaxx (valued at R15 000).
The series is now searching for another 15 teams to join series producer and host
Justin Bonello in a new adventure. The prizes haven't been confirmed yet but word from the show is that they'll be similar and possibly bigger.
Who can enter? The competition is open to all food lovers who consider themselves above average cooks, aged 18 years and older, with a valid driver’s license.
Teams who are chosen for the show will put their passion for cooking on an open fire to the test over 60 days in some of South Africa’s most off-the-beaten track locations.
