You loved the series in the first season. This season you could be in it.
As reported on TVSA earlier this year, SABC1's popular drama series
Skeem Saam has been signed for a second season. The first season debuted in 2011 and ran for 13 episodes and Season 2 will double that with a 26-episode run.
Preparations for it are in full swing and the series is on a search for actors to play new characters who'll be introduced for the season.
Auditions are happening in Polokwane this Saturday and Sunday (24 and 25 November).
The venue: SABC Polokwane, 19 Hospital Street.
Times: Doors open at 08h00 and close at 17h00.
As you'll see from the character briefs below, the auditions are looking for characters of different ages ranging from 13 to 60. You'll get the script for the character you're auditioning for on the day at the venue.
Here's who the show's looking to cast:
Character briefs
Kamo Phalane aged 16, a fun-loving, girly-girl who makes and loses friends with ease. She’s street smart, daring and in your face, always the first to know about things. Her classmates hate her attitude but she doesn’t care. She is Mapitsi’s friend.
Masego Balleng, aged 16, is softly-spoken with an innocent smile. She is passionate about life and sports. She is into long jump and dreams of representing South Africa in the Olympics. She is very likable, with a wonderful sense of humour. She is new in Turfloop and is still trying to adjust.
Sphola is a 17-year-old eye candy from Seshego Township. He is volatile and quick to impulsive action. He is a boy with a man’s face; a school dropout who has seen much more in his life than he will ever tell you. He wears expensive labels.
Pelo is an 18-year-old, basketball player.Eunice Nkadimeng is an innocent 13-year-old girl with a loving heart. She is Pretty Seakamela’s best friend. They’ve known each other since primary school and are inseparable.
Mrs. Rebone Nkadimeng, Eunice’s mother, 38-40, housewife who is warm, reserved, comfortable in her own skin. Blessed with a good husband and two intelligent daughters, Rebone considers herself a lucky woman. She will walk to the ends of the earth to make her family happy.
Mr. Solomon Nkadimeng is 45-55 years old, a kind, laid back praying man. After completing matric he trained as a nurse and worked at Turfloop hospital. A few years later he left nursing and started his own business. When he is not at work, he is home relaxing and listening to gospel music. He is the type of father and husband you can rely on.
Meshack Magongwa in his late 50s is Mapitsi’s father. He is a conservative, hard working insurance salesman.
