On Sunday's Carte Blanche, 7 December 2008:
Trucks
The high number of trucks and articulated vehicles using alternative roads like the R103 is causing outrage in the tranquil KZN Midlands, where accidents have killed or injured many residents over the years and it doesn’t seem to be letting up. But drivers and transport companies say exorbitant toll fees are forcing them off the national highways.
Presenter: Devi Sankaree Govender Producer: Nguni Productions
CB20 Millions III
Carte Blanche has raised R55,5-million for charity, since the launch of the show's 20th birthday campaign in August. It’s all about helping children and South African companies and the public have been more than generous in their commitment to our cause.
The show follows up on what's happening with the drive.
Presenter: Bongani Bingwa Producer: Victoria Cullinan
Christmas Books
Giving a book as a gift may present a challenge. Book guru Jenny Crwys Williams looks at her selection of the best books of 2008, and introduces some of the authors.
Presenter: Jenny Crwys-Williams Producer: Diana Lucas
