BBAfrica2: The Lurve Triangle

An update on the Bertha/Kwaku/Meryl kinky lurve triange for you! I caught up with Bertha and Kwaku at the Survivor SA Finale Afterparty on Wednesday night and snooped out what's going on and apparently  - surprise, surprise - they're all three just "good friends".

What's dirrty is that they didn't all sit together for the show - Kwaku and Bertha sat together and Meryl sat with Max and Lerato - the impression I got generally is that Meryl's giving Kwertha their space to see how steamy they want to get in the future while she does her wild child thang. I reckon she doesn't want to be tied to one person and that Kwaku and Bertha are more on the same page in terms what they want their relationship to be.

Of course when Bertha came out of the house she said her and Kwaku had been "kissing friends" and nothing between them seems to have changed so I just assumed they still are.

From what I could work out from oggling them hanging out together they're gonna stay friends even if they don't get officially hitched. As for Meryl - the goss I heard, but couldn't confirm with her 'cos she didn't hang around the party long enough, is that she's already crushed the heart of one of the bodyguards!

I have a gr8 pic of the three of them togetha at our Sunday morning breakfast!! Will send it to Tashi, Shuga and Sego. I don't know how it's all playing out. Didn't get impression K's really with anyone, but likes both girls. He was swirling between the two of them. But who knows?!!!! Weirdly, at the aftaparty B seemed to be following Meryl around :) ........ and, hey Dee, agree with u on Meryl. But K is actually very nice when u get down with him. ............AND now let me add some sting to the tail. When he and I were cuddling under the stars (uhm, yes, we're just cuddling friends), he told me he's coming up to Namibia, and gave me the dates .......

The article below was published in the Zambian post-Thursday November 15, 2007
Lerato is my consolation - Max
By Joseph mwenda
The Big Brother Africa reality show frenzy is over and the winner announced. But for Zambia’s representative, Maxwell Chongo, memories of the house will remain forever.
Max, who was the fourth housemate to be evicted, says he was not meant to win the US $100,000 but he got away with a consolation - his newfound love Lerato Sengadi.
Max, who was in the company of Lerato during this interview, tells us a little about his life.
The 26-year-old former Zesco call-centre operator went to school at Chelstone Primary School, then Naboye Secondary School in Kafue.
After he completed school, Max did an Accounting course (part time) at the National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA).
He then went to Evelyn Hone and studied Marketing after he was sponsored when he won a Mr Evelyn Hone modelling contest in 2002.
“I have lived a very difficult life and I come from a torn-apart family. So because of that I have had to sponsor myself in most of the things that I have done. In 2002, I came across a poster that Evelyn Hone would sponsor the winner of a modelling contest at the institution.
“So I went to pay half of the school fees to become eligible for the contest,” he says.
As anticipated, he won the contest and later took a sponsored marketing course at the institution.
From childhood, Max says he always dreamed of becoming a star and also to lead Zambia one day.
His dream may not have been fulfilled yet, but he may have started his journey to stardom after participating in Big Brother Africa 2.
Max says like any human being, he has had good and bad times in his life.
“My worst moment in life is when I recall memories of my mother lying on the floor after being beaten by my father.
I can’t forget that. But if I am to describe my best moment in life, it must have been when I first met her (Lerato),” as the South African housemate adds, “Me too, my best time was when I met Max because I knew he was a good guy.”
The couple describe their first meeting as the best thing that ever happened to them.
He says he is determined to become a leader and that he is inspired by President Levy Mwanawasa to also take up the highest office in the country in future.
“Who knew that Mwanawasa would come out of that fatal accident and make Zambia a corruption- free nation?” Max asks.
On his love for weight lifting, Max says it is a hobby and does not use it to fight other people.
“I am not a violent person, if I was, you would have seen it in my actions in the Big Brother House. I have never even slapped a woman before in my life, and that just shows that I am not a violent person in any way,” he says.
That however, does not reduce the reality show contestant to a coward.
“I go to the gym just for body fitness and never to be a fighter,” says Max.
Asked how he is dealing with his newfound stardom, Max says he is overwhelmed by the attention he gets from people.
Everywhere we go, people mob our car, wanting to see us and talk to us even when we want to do private business,” he says.
Max, who is fourth in a family of seven, says his dream is to reduce poverty in the country.
Perhaps the most interesting thing about Max that people never stop talking about was his relationship with Lerato.
Though most people thought he was just playing the game and that nothing would come out of it, their relationship seems to have taken a serious turn.
The couple has since communicated the seriousness of their relationship to their parents.
“ We are not sure about the date yet but obvious

Dee, u're rite Meryl doesn't give a damn abt Kwaku & Bertha. She has avoided to be seen with them in public. As for Meryl busy breaking bodygaurds hearts... Dont think so, I think Meryl is a cool chick who was misunderstood by pple while still in the house. I find her to be a nice person with a good heart.

Kwaku going to Namibia??? Kwaku is a pathological liar, don't forget. Bertha really desparate woman, she really needs a man. Good Luck to Lemax & their friendship with Meryl. Let it last forever!!!

I totally agree. Bertha is a two faced snake and Kwaku is a gigolo. I wish Max and Lerato all the best.

Tx @Jenny for that update! Gosh, Max has political aspirations. Interestingggggg ... Still, can see him as a politico. And, wow, maybe Lerato becoming a First Lady one day ................... !!!! BUT Max must brush up on his strategy. He probably made the one decision which had the most impact on this BBA2: when he failed to save Meryl and instead opted to go for Ofu, who would not have been voted out anyway. That totally skewed the balance of power in the house. .................... @Jennifer. Yeah, agree on Meryl. She's cool. It's kind of weird how her popularity just spiralled after she was evicted. I knew it was going to be a difficult the week she was up (the timing was not in her favour), but felt if she survived it she would probably have gone quite a way further. But if onlys are nowhere!! Yeah, but we're still all around, still discussing the housemates ......
