This week has been an extremely busy week for me. Wanting to. Keep my promise, here are this week's hottest tunes in Africa.
The Koko Master, D'banj earns a second week at the top of the charts with "Cash Flow". This is also the song's second week on the chart.
D'banj may have the #1 song on the continent, but he definitely doesn't have three mega songs in the top 10 like Davido does. Davido finishes in at #2, #3 and #5. His lastest top ten entry, "Feel Alright", jumps a whopping 32 spots in its second week. "Feel Alright" also features the award-winning Ice Prince. Davido's former #1, "All For You", jumps three spots from last week's 6. He also jumps three spots from last week's #8 with "Gbon Gbon' which lands its sixth week in the top 50.
D-Black finishes a spot ahead of "Gbon Gbon" with Vera. "Vera" stays strong at 5. Donald, the only South African in the top ten, falls down four spots to this week's #6 with "Over The Moon" in its seventh week. Donald has another reason to be over the moon because he has picked up a whopping six Metro FM Awards nominationsn including Best Produced Album for his breakthrough album "Train of Love".
P Square seem to be constantly slipping down the chart ever since their debuted at #1. This week "Alingo" drops four spots to #7.
Also falling down the chart and tittering at the edge are M.anifest featuring Efye with "Asa" and Keko with "Let Me Go". Each holds the #9 and 10 spots respectively.
Toya DeLazy's "Heart" and 2Face's "Ihe Ne Me" fall out of the top ten after peaking at #3 and #1 respectively. Toya DeLazy, also a Metro FM Awards multi-nominee, falls 9 to 12 and 2Face falls 10 to 13. Mr. Cool, Kwesta, climbs three spots to eleven in his second week "Boom Shaka Laka". Kwesta has a very strong chance of making it into the top ten next week.
