The Observer: Happy Birthday

Hi guys…..just wanted to let you know that today is my birthday and I have been celebrating the day since Friday evening after being whisked away to a surprise location which turned out to be the most wonderful place I could celebrate my birth. It turned out to be my weekend. I felt like one of those MTV Weekends with music videos, shows, movies and interviews dedicated to a single artist; only mine was way fun. A perfect combination of private moments and great company from friends and friends of friends!

I am still here and I had to rush out on account of some fable excuse about having to quickly email matters relating to some important issue. May the lord help me for the lies I’ve told just to blog about this. So, if this has a lot of errors you will pardon me because I don’t have enough time to check…. Also I had to do the graphics. Oh no… my phone is buzzing already. Fun is calling and I want to get back, after all today is the day where everything has been leading to, I can’t wait…. If Friday night and Saturday are anything to go by, today will leave me completely in cloud nine so much so that I think I might just see the creator.

Since I am a very difficult person to please by all standards, this is like heaven for me.

The food is wonderful….. I need to steal this chef he is amazing. Mind you I have specific restrictions when it comes to food and he was brought specially to prepare all my meals. All I can say is Oprah…eat your heart out!

The service is royalty and the activities and company is beyond satisfactory. I am having the best time because we have been partying yesterday at night, whilst during the day it was pampering upon pampering and I also had time to just be alone and reflect. It is always nice when friends and family show you how much they love you instead of just sending emails, texts and telling you….but when you actually see that they care and deeply love. That’s great!

The CAKE.....oh may godness. I prefer chocolate and it was truly an amazing feast for the mouth, heart and soul.

Everyone respected my alone time but when It came time for gifts today in the morning from my friends here and abroad, it was like Christmas had come early for me. To think that the holiday season is at our door step and I’m still going to get more gifts. Man, this is fantastic. I love gifts.

I think everyone is over compensating because last year I placed a burn on my birthday and this year they have gone all out since I also make big deals about every single one of theirs. I think by the end of this day I will be beyond happy. I can’t wait for all the days great moments.

"I also have been enjoying my new addiction which I will share with you soon. This is amazing and cant stop talking about it"

A dear person to me shared a sincere dedication about love. It was the highlight of the entire celebration thus far, its right there with a perfect proposal. Everyone was moved to tears. Like I wrote earlier, when they show you that they love you it’s even more valuable, and when they show you in front of other loved ones. It becomes fantastic.

Anyway… gotta go. Fun is calling!

Three days? R u sho its a birthday and not a honeymoon? hahahahaha!

<<<<<great company from friends and friends of friends>>>>>

Friends of friends-
don't u wish you can just "doom" them off and let them dissapear-  just to remain with the 'main friend'? I usualy like their compony just up to the 'gift-giving phase' and I usualy wish them away soon after! This becomes even a whole lot sooner if I saw them them arriving with empty hands; a hug is not a gift people...

and hell no, although your presence in my birthday means a lot, it is by nowhere nearer to a substitute for a gift..! I want those 'quality gifts, huge (aka expensive) and well wrapped..., not ama duvets, iingobozi and some cups & plates (unless they are genuine tupperware...!

Ooooopppps my emotions r catching me; it sounds like your fellow 'friends of friends' did not dissapoint gift-wise, so I join the masses in wishing you a happy happy happy birthday! may you grow until 100+ Gogo..!

Cnglemother.....NOOOOOOOOOOOOO. No engagements. Eish do you want to give me a heart attack!  If it happened, I would have punched someone's lights out... party or no party!

I meant that that the speech "dedication" was so moving everyone was in tears. If it was a proposal it would have been considered perfect by any standards including "Hollywood" measures. But naaah this here Observer ain't getting hitched! Period... Man hives, ewe, the thought of it alone makes me break-out!

TheObserver

Madala ... LOL.... seriously LOL...oh my stomach... I can't talk and the tears...MAN you are killing me.

I know thou, I kept asking "and you are", and all of sudden comes another one and they go "happy birthday so and so" and I go "do I even know you?". Anyway they were well informed that I am a bit of difficult ass. So they should approach with caution. The doom would have helped a lot. Poor souls... But they all had fun, I was told!

About gifts.... the FoF's (Friends of Friends) gave good ones, they were warned, and some just gave cheques and wrote letters that they don't know what I would like. So to be on the safe side they offered me money to either donate it or use it. I thought that was interesting and honest. But giving gifts is more fun... not money DUDE!

<<<<<I kept asking "and you are", and all of sudden comes another one and they go "happy birthday so and so" and I go "do I even know you?">>>>>
ha ha ha ha ha ha ha @ Observer. I can feel yo situation....
what I do is to take the gifts 1st , .....and do introductions later!  This helps me to "gauge the value of the gift". Depending on the value I come up with, I will decide whether I need to be formaly introduced, even know yo name, or even chat 2 u! Cheap gifts derseves just a fake smile- no hugs while I will exchange emails for a good gift!
Glad u enjoyed yoself....!

Pitch and Let baby thank you for your kind wishes.

But Pitch I really had fun, the most fun I had the entire year. Even on Monday at 10 (1st of Dec) in the morning I had a crazy private breakfast with only my closest friends who did something very psychotic with milk. I was first breast feed at 10am the day after my birth. So this inspired them to go crazy with milk and nappies....trust me that's all I can say and it was funny like you can't imagine. Just imagine grown people in nappies and tons of milk. We laughed the whole day...we could not eat or drink because it all came back out. MAN! I can't even help but laugh even today. That was crazy! It has been the most amazing time of my live ever!

I wished I could give someone who is about to die the same feeling I got the entire weekend. There is more of what happened but I need to keep certain things private not to mention clean.

Thank you guys!

Madala...hahahahahaha Really LOL.

I have to admit that there were questionable items from FoF's, but nothing too hectic...like a sex toy or kitchen items.

You are right thou, I took my guestbook and looked at the gifts I got which were not opened on the day of. And as I remember their owners and called around to find out what kind people they are to assess what would possess a person to buy a bad gift. I realized that you have a point. I might be making a trip to my nearest charity.

I was thinking of how to write my thank you notes....I have a lot of those to write. I was laughing at the idea of using an extract from your post for the few bad gifts from FoF's (Cheap gifts derseves just a fake smile- no hugs...Thank So and So) But my friends would be upset...some might be expecting it thou.

Thank you.
