Chaos hit the set of 7de Laan last week when Executive Producer Danie Odendaal and the rest of the series' producers erupted in a rebellious bomb sparked by years of frustration at dealing with the SABC.
The 7de Laan producers sent out an internal memo to the soapie's cast and crew stating that if SABC2 didn't sign the soapie's annual renewal contract timeously - by Friday (30 August) - the show would stop rolling cameras at 15h00 on the same day.
Their stand did the trick because by Friday they had a draft contract from the SABC. Not the full, fancy thing but enough to legally seal the deal. Enough for Danie Odendaal who says that he feels confident all's in order to continue filming.
