Please note: this column was published in November last year and today BBC Entertainment (DStv Channel 120) announced that the show will be premiering on the channel in September: on Thursday, 3 September 2009 at 20h30.

It runs weekly at the same time for three weeks. The premiere episode runs solo and thereafter there are two half-hour episodes weekly.

A sneak peak  ...

It's not on our boxes (yet) unfortunately but I've caught an episode of a new show and had such an excellent laugh I had to share it with you.

It's a new UK mini series called Dead Set that's about Big Brother and what would happen if the whole world turned into killer, flesh eating zombies - except for five BB housemates trapped in the BB house.

There are five episodes in total and they've done it brilliantly. They've re-created the actual UK Big Brother - complete with eviction night and Davina McCall - the BB UK host, who plays herself.

The action starts on a Sunday eviction night with all sorts of things happening at the same time: the housemates are dressed up for the event, their family's are travelling through to the studios, the producer's being a Pig and badmouthing everyone and the production secretary's having sex problems with one of the camera men.

Next thing a zombie attacks one of the family members as they're driving into the studios and kills her and as soon as she dies she turns into one too. She bites others and so the rampage and carnage begins - even Davina gets zombified.

The Living

Through it all a couple of characters manage to avoid being bitten: the evicted housemate (she's in a special room type thing), the production secretary, the producer and all five housemates - who have no clue anything's even happened.

Big Brother disappears, the cameras stop following them, the production secretary ends up looking for safety in the house and the housemates are convinced she's a plant sent in to spice things up.

The whole thing's hysterical - it's a superbo mix of being super tense, gory and funny and makes tons of satirical commentaries on Big Brother and reality TV.

I'm really, really hoping we get to see it here - if I spot it on anywhere I'll give you headsup bigtime.

In the meantime I'm feeling tripped out at how similar our BB is.

Five housemates are left. All of them need a slap.

Big Brother's disappeared.

I'm feeling zzz- zzz- zzzombied - I trust you are too ..... let's go Zombi!! Arghrghgrghaaaaaaaaargh
