Temptation SA: Theunis Aims To Be First Grand Master

After five nailbiting episodes Temptation South Africa contestant Theunis Strydom will attempt to become the game show's first Grand Master tonight by winning his sixth straight night.

Strydom is a 26-year-old music journalist who grew up in Pietermaritzburg but who now lives in Johannesburg.

Last night Theunis became only the second contestant on the show to win the Night 5 prize, a Mazda RX-8 sports car.

Unlike Pamela Kahn, who opted to take the car and run a few weeks ago, Theunis decided to "stay and play" instead, for a chance to win not just the car but all the other prizes he passed up along the way as well.

Those prizes are a fancy watch, a plasma TV, kitchen appliances (including a fridge, a microwave and an oven), a luxury holiday, the Mazda RX-8 and all the cash he has amassed in the End Game, which totals R178,000.

Theunis also won a Sony Playstation II on last night's show, to go with all the other things he has won or 'purchased' along the way.

A win tonight (Thursday 26 October) will bag him all of that.

He is also at the top of the show's Leaderboard and unlikely to be deposed, which means he will play in the season finale against the next two on the Leaderboard (which at present are flying instructor and TVSA member Brendon Allen and retired attorney Pamela Kahn).

Should he triumph in the grand finale he will win a house in Johannesburg which is fully furnished, worth over R2-million.

A house, a car, a couple hundred thousand bucks...

Theunis revealed early on that he doesn't have a girlfriend. That could all be about to change.

Tune in to see if he can be the first Grand Master, tonight on M-Net at 18h30.
