Top 3 Fave TV Show’s (besides The Weakest Link):

Survivor, Amazing Race, Desperate Housewives.

The season of The Weakest Link you were in:
4th season (one just finished).

Your winnings:
R18 800.

What did you spend the moolah on?
I’m taking my girlfriend and her son on a skiing trip to Andorra in February.

What memorable insult did Fiona hurl your way?
I think I escaped fairly lightly! The only thing Fiona had a go at me for (that I remember) was for not being able to tell her what I was doing on an exact date – when I’d noted on the contestant questionnaire that I was good at remembering dates. It wasn’t half as bad however as what some of the others had to deal with!

A question you were asked that you’ll never forget?
Just one question? I have a few! I was asked which African country beginning with “L” was formed by colonial slaves (or something like that). There was also a question about a Russian actor – there was only one name that sprung into my head – Yul Brynner.

The answer:
Liberia was the country; Yul Brynner was the actor.

Did you get it right or wrong?
Wrong – I said Libya (I figured I had a 50:50 chance), and I took a lot of flak from friends and family over it!

The most difficult thing about playing:
Trying to keep track of how much time is left on the clock, how much money is in the ladder and how many questions other people are getting wrong – all at the same time. No wonder people have difficulty agreeing on the weakest link in a round!

The most fun (besides winning of course):
Watching the show on SABC 3 and seeing how much editing, cutting and polishing goes into the final screened product – you won’t believe how much cutting and pasting they do!

It was also fun fielding the phone calls after the show – I was honestly surprised by how many people watched the show, but also at how many people start crawling out of the woodwork to speak to you!
