Celebrities, the press and a blitz of security guards came out for the 2012 Feather Awards last night (Wednesday, 7 November).
The awards have become hott property since they first launched four years ago and tribute personalities who've inspired the gay community over the past year.
The ceremony went down at Melrose Arch in Sandton and delivered awards in 12 categories as well as an explosion of drama when Drama Queen of the Year winner Tina Mkwaiwa accepted her award in a wheelchair.
Tina and her husband Prosper were both shot last week in an incident involving a gunman who held them hostage and wanted them have sex in front of him.
Tina on the red - behind Tamara Dey (looked very WWE don't you think?)
