Introducing Miss Universe 2011: 25-year-old Leila Lopes of Angola.

Miss Universe 2011 went down in Brazil last night (12 September) and aired in a delayed broadcast on Star! today. It repeats this Saturday (17th) at 12h00.

The pageant opened with an intro to all of the contenders and then went into the first knockout round: The Top 16, followed by the Top 10, then the final five.

Our Miss SA Bokang Montjane didn't make the Top 16 unfort. but Angola winning the title meant that Africa rocked the show.

Our Miss SA Bokang Montjane didn't make the Top 16 unfort - WOW, has it ever happened that Miss SA does not even make it to round 2???

Congrats to Angola for putting Africa on the beauty pagent map again. Our Bokang must now go represent at the Mr Universe, i'm sure he's win it if not, then runner up.

LOL Cande, last year M-Net aired them a month or two afterwards - we haven't heard whether it's gonna happen this year or not. Will keep u posted.
