We had a few minutes to chat with the recently married couple Lekker Larry (real name Lloyd Kandlin) and Hastige Hendrik (real name Shane Everts) after they said their
“I do's”. Here's our chat with them:

Cheesa: What made you enter this competition?
Larry: I was sitting in a bar with a friend of mine, who is standing there somewhere with a dress. He said to me, just do it, you've got nothing to lose. I don't have much luck, I've never had much luck in dating (Hastige giggles). You know, I just tend to choose the wrong people, he was like: just do it, its probably right for you.
Before I knew it I was in the Top 5. All I wrote on my piece of paper was that whoever I choose just has to be romantic and I got a chance to chat to 5 guys, of which only one of them was the one I was gonna choose.
Cheesa: How did you feel when you won the competition?
Hastige: There were no words to describe how I felt at that moment - I launched out of my chair, all I could do was just grab him and I held him for a few minutes before they could took him away from me again.
I wasn't allowed to see him so I was ecstatic, I was excited, I was nervous, it was a whole mixture of emotions that were happening but I was happy, I was happy.
Cheesa: What made you choose Hastige?
Larry: The fact that from getting to know him, that he is very trusting and reliable. I think any relationship has to be based on someone you'd know you have to have a certain percentage of trust in them.
And I would get messages from him when I wasn't expecting it and needed them. And he is very honest from what I heard on the radio.
His friends all trust him and love him and his mother is very supportive and I just thought he is coming from a very safe place and that's what I've been looking for, someone who is stable, who'll help me be self-sufficient, you know, I'm not the sort of person ... I'm very self-sufficient but I'm not gonna daddy you in the relationship. I've done it I know, maybe he'll probably daddy me. *laughs*

Cheesa: What was your family's reaction when they heard you are getting married to someone you've never met before?
Hastige: Uhmmm..., I think they were surprised initially uhmmm... but my mom was kind of involved in the communication and I would share with her little things that Larry would say to me. She became involved in the process so she kind of built new excitement. She was very supportive.
Cheesa: So are you guys going to stay together as a married couple when you're back from the honey moon? (The honeymoon cost R40 000)
Larry: Of course!! (And I loled)
Cheesa: What is the first thing you're going to do when you're back?
Larry: Uhmmm carry on with life, learn and plan our future.
Cheesa: Any children as time go on?
Larry: We discussed it, tell them.
Hastige: We touched on it but I think it's important for us to rectify our relationship for now before we can create a stable platform for another new addition.
