Universal Channel will be debuting Haven, on Sunday, 17 October at 20h00.
The series premiered on the Syfy channel in the US in July and is based on the Stephen King novel called The Colorado Kid. The story centres round FBI agent Audrey Parker, played by Emily Rose (of ER and Brothers & Sisters) ...
Not the lead character in the 2005 horror film of the
same name, but rather:
girlcrush material.
Audrey arrives in Haven to solve a murder and gets drawn into the Troubles of the place. This from the description of it:
Haven is a place where people with supernatural conditions have lived for generations. The town mutes their powers, allowing them to lead normal lives. That is, until recently, when something mysterious changed in the town, making residents’ abilities react strangely and in unfamiliar ways.
When FBI agent Audrey Parker is called to the town of Haven to solve a murder, she catches the killer ... but also begins to uncover this deeper mystery that needs solving.
As she gets involved in trying to find the answers to the things that start happening around her, she also starts to delve deeply into who she is.
