Calling Latin Dancers!

e.tv has announced the premiere of a new Latin American dance reality show called Superdance South Africa and the search is on for dance duo's.

The format of the show: things begin next Thursday, 6 August 2009 with an audition phase that moves through Johannessburg, Durban and Cape Town.

14 couples will be chosen from these auditions to go through to an elimination phase that will take place in Johannessburg. The showdown ends in a finale where the finalists will battle it out on the dancefloor before the announcement of a winning duo.

The prize: the winning couple will win R20 000 cash and will perform with the world's Top 5 dance couples at the World Dance Event - happening in Cape Town in September.

If you're a Latin dancer who has what it takes when it comes to the Samba, Ramba, Pasa Doble, Cha-Cha and Jive, the audition dates and venues are as follows:

Johannesburg
Date: Thursday 6 August 2009
Venue: the DanceJunxion, Shop 402, Top Floor, Rosebank Mall

Durban
Date: Thursday 13 August 2009
Venue: To be confirmed. We'll update the venue here when it's been announced so please bookmark this page to return.

Cape Town
Date: Thursday 20 August 2009
Venue: Also to be confirmed.

Call time for all auditions is 8am but dancers are encouraged to arrive early for a place in the queue.

The competition is open to both amateur and professional dancers.

Why is this competition limited to only those dance types
Isnt Salsa , merengue and batchata also Latin Dances

You can say that again GML, i slept quater-way after the show started .... maybe it is not boring but it is very late and it is in the middle of the week
