Speedy (real name Harold Matlhaku) is a South African kwaito and R&B artist and actor best known as one of the founding members of afro pop supergroup Bongo Maffin, which catapulted him to fame in 1997. He later left the group to start a solo career. Speedy is best known to television audiences for his role as Deep in the first three seasons of the SABC1 drama series Gaz'lam, from 2002-2005. He also made a number of guest appearances on the e.tv sitcom SOS in 2001, and played himself on the e.tv youth soapie Backstage, in 2006. He had a role in the 2002 feature film Hijack Stories.
