Bio
Born in Nigeria and now a South African citizen, Richard Cyril is an actor, musician, model and television presenter.
He was raised in the United States of America and returned to Nigeria where he completed a B.Sc degree in Finance at the University of Port Harcourt. He left Nigeria in 1997 and moved to Johannesburg, where he has built a solid career in the entertainment/promotions industry.
As part of the KenRich Promotions, with his brother Kenneth, he has performed at a variety of events including the M-Net Summer festival (1997), Reach for a Dream Events (various), Vodacom Yebo Net corporate (1998), the South African talk show Felicia and at the All Africa Games(1999).
The KenRich crew achieved success with the release of the single 'Handy Man', which was nominated for the Best Dance Single at the South African Music Awards in 2000.
Richard also hosted and presented the 13-part series MTN Gladiators for M-Net Africa, which was shot in Nigeria (2002).
His exploits on and behind the screen include MTN Gladiators South Africa, commercials for Nando's, Liquifruit, Auto Pedigree, DStv (West Africa), Super Sport, Guinness, Cell C, and television and movie appearances on Streaks, Going up, Generations, Scandal!, Clear Target, Max and Mona, and African Story.
Richard has invested five years of work in the casino industry and the promotion thereof in South Africa. He has been the voice, face and personality of Monte Casino, Gold Reef City Casino and Caesars Palace for many years.
He has been a presenter of the DStv religious channel ONE Gospel since 4 November, 2007.
