Salli Richardson-Whitfield is an American actress best known for her roles in the feature films Antwone Fisher (2002) and Biker Boyz (2003), and for her role as Allison Blake in the sci-fi series Eureka, from 2006-2012.

Richardson was born in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Marcia Harris and Duel Richardson, who is the director of Neighbourhood Relations/Educational Programs and Office of Community Affairs for the University of Chicago.

Her father has Italian and English ancestry and mother is African-American, with some Native American ancestry.

Richardson played high school tennis, and launched her acting career in the Kuumba Workshop theatre there.

Richardson's acting credits include the feature films Posse (1993), A Low Down Dirty Shame (1994), The Great White Hype (1996), Antwone Fisher (2002), Biker Boyz (2003), Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid (2004) and I Am Legend (2007).

She has guest-starred in numerous television shows including Stargate SG-1, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Silk Stalkings, New York Undercover, The Pretender, NYPD Blue, House, Missing, The War At Home and Bones.

Richardson has had recurring roles on Mercy Point, Rude Awakening, Family Law and CSI: Miami and voiced the character of Elisa Maza on the animated series Gargoyles.

Currently she is cast as Department of Defence agent (and later head of Global Dynamics) Allison Blake in the television series Eureka.

Salli had a short-lived romance with fellow actor Matthew McConaughey and the late rapper/actor Tupac Shakur.

On September 8, 2002, she married long-time beau, Dondre Whitfield, a fellow actor. She and Whitfield have a daughter, Parker Richardson-Whitfield and a son, Dre Terrell Whitfield.
