Bio

Gontse Ntshegang is a South African actress best known for her role as street smart, sharp-witted Keketso Khoza, the manager of RTs, Johannesburg - the press hangout owned by Abbey (Michele Maxwell) - in the e.tv soapie Scandal!, from 2008-2010.

She also played the role of Elizabeth in the e.tv soapie Rhythm City, in 2011. The character was created to support Naomi's (Moshidi Motshegwa) comeback as she attempted to win over Miles by pretending that Elizabeth's baby was hers.

Gontse wanted to be a pharmacist when she grew up. Instead, she opted for the National School of the Arts, enrolling as a fine arts student, with a bit of drama, followed by full time drama at Wits University, which she dropped in her second year for physical theatre, set designs and film studies.

Her main credits includea role in the stage production, Lion and the Jewel - alongside Scandal! cast members Nthati Moshesh and Sello Maake Ka-Ncube.

Gontse also appeared in the opening sequence for the DStv music station Channel O and had small roles on the drama series Yizo Yizo and Hillside.

In 2012 she was cast as Mukhwevo Holdings marketer Mapule Modise in the SABC2 soapie Muvhango, replacing Matshepo Maleme in the role. Her first appearance was on Thursday 16 August, 2012.

Also in 2012, she guest starred in an episode of the international action series Strike Back.

She is the narrator of the e.tv reality series Mahadi-Lobola, which showcases the complex processes in which different cultures in South Africa participate during lobola negotiations. The series began on eKasi+ in 2015 and was later acquired by e.tv.

Originally from Rustenburg, Gontse currently resides in Johannesburg. She is multilingual, speaking English, Tswana, Zulu and Sotho.
