Winnie Ntshaba (known as Winnie Modise during her marriage to Thabo Modise) is a South African actress best known for her role as Khethiwe Buthelezi in the SABC1 soapie Generations.

Bawinile "Winnie" Ntshaba obtained her BA Drama Honours degree at the University of Natal (Durban) in 1997. She then joined the North West Arts Council in 1998 – 1999.

During this time she performed in productions of Urban Reality, Messiah and Who of a Man directed by Aubrey Sekhabi and Paul Grootboom.

She moved to Johannesburg in 2000 and participated in educational and industrial theatre shows for AREPP Shoestring Productions. In 2004 she was featured in the local television drama Jozi Streets.

Winnie then landed herself a supporting role in the Academy Award-nominated film Yesterday.

In the same year she appeared in three productions: Russian Services Lethal Force (supporting role), Shreds and Dreams (lead role) directed by Claire Stopford.

She also featured in a short film called Blow directed by Uwelyn.

In 2013 she launched a soapie award ceremony called the Royalty Soapie Awards. The first ceremony took place at the Durban International Convention Centre on 2 November 2013.

In that same year she divorced and reverted to her maiden name.

In 2015 she had a guest starring role on the Mzansi Magic telenovela The Road.
