Dominic Monaghan is an English actor best known for playing Merry Brandybuck in the Lord Of The Rings film trilogy and for his role as Charlie Pace on the television show Lost.
He starred as Simon Campos in the science fiction television series FlashForward, from 2009-2010.
Monaghan was born in Berlin, Germany, and his family moved to Stockport, England when he was 12.
In addition to speaking fluent German, he is known for his ability to impersonate others and replicate accents.
Dominic attended Aquinas College where he studied English Literature, Drama and Geography.
While in college he got his first major role in the BBC television series, Hetty Wainthropp Investigates, in which he played the sidekick of Hetty.
