Tawny Cypress is an American actress best known for her role as Simone Deveaux in the television sci-fi series Heroes, from 2006-2007.
She has had recurring roles in the television series 100 Centre Street, All My Children, Third Watch and Johnny Zero.
She has also made guest appearances on NYPD Blue, Hack, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Stella and Love Monkey.
In 2007 she will play the leading role of Ginger "Love Tap" LeBeau, a police officer that suffers the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, in the drama series K-Ville. The series premieres in the US on 17 september, on the FOX network.
Cypress acted in the 2002 made-for-TV movie The Time Tunnel; and in the feature films Stalker Guilt Syndrome (her screen acting debut in 1999), Autumn in New York (2000), World Trade Center (2006) and Bella (2006).
She was married to Bill Charles from 2000-2004 (ending in divorce). The couple had one child together.
