Naveen Andrews is an English actor best known for his starring role as former Iraqi torturer Sayid Jarrah in the mystery drama science fiction television series Lost, from 2004-2010.

Naveen has had an interest in acting since he was five and when he was 16, he attended London's Guildhall School of Music and Drama alongside Ewan McGregor and Davis Thewlis.

He won a role in Hanif Kureshi's film London Kills Me and he also is known for his role in The English Patient, as Kip.

When he was 16 he fell for his Mathematics teacher, Geraldine Feakins. The couple later moved in together and in 1992 she gave birth to his son, Jaisal.

After he moved to the United States he started a relationship whith actress, Barbara Hershey, who is 21 years his senior. They seperated briefly in 2005, and Naveen fathered a son by another woman in that time. Naveen and Barbara have since reconciled.

In 2006 he was voted as one People's Magazine's 'World's Most Beautiful People'. He also plays guitar and sings.
