A native of Ohio, after graduating from Otterbein College with a degree in Fine Arts, Harris moved to Los Angeles in the mid 1990s, where she joined the famed comedy troupe The Groundlings.

She soon became a member of The Groundling Main Company, where she had a chance to focus on her skills and eventually teach class in The Groundling School of Improvisation.

Harris currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband, actor Adam Paul, whom she married in 2003.
