Bio

Stefan is a Namibian-born South African actor, singer and model best known for being a contestant on the first season of the reality competition series Big Brother Africa, in 2003.

He became a familiar face literally overnight in millions of households around the globe.

He represented the Namibian u/19 cricket team at the World Cup in Sri Lanka just after he matriculated. Then he went to Germany where he earned a living as construction worker.

Upon his return to Namibia he decided to make a career for himself in forensic sciences. He qualified in Psycho-Physiological Detection of Deception at the WNNR in Pretoria.

He registered with the American Polygraph Association and started his own business, Invictus Intelligence (Pty) Ltd, towards the end of 2000 in Namibia. This allowed him to pursue his natural curiosity as well as interact with people.

In 2003 he entered Big Brother Africa. He was the eighth person evicted from the house.

Shortly after being evicted from the house he made his acting debut in comedian Casper se Vries' comedy series Haak en Steek.

He landed the role of Werner Kranz in M-Net's soapie Egoli: Place of Gold in 2004. He left the role in 2007.

He was nominated for Best Actor and Best Newcomer Music/Stage/Screen at People Magazine's Crystal Awards in 2004 and 2005. In 2005 he won the Best Actor award and at the 2006 Crystal Awards he walked away with the title SA's Hottest Hunk.

In 2005 he also won the SA's Favourite Male Actor Award at the You/Huisgenoot Spectacular and in 2006 won the Sexiest Man award.

His love for music both writing and performing is something he pursued since school. He trained himself on the guitar and performed the songs he wrote to his mother who always said school work is far more important.

He started building on his repertoire and soon he had enough songs to put together a Demo CD. His debut album, Liggroen Doringbome, was released towards the end of October 2005 and Vuur & Water was released at the 2007 Klein Karoo Arts Festival in Oudtshoorn.

He offers a wide variety of performances: appearances where he parties with the guests; MC-work at functions or pageants together with a few solo songs; a full solo show with a guitarist as well as a full band show.

Ludik plays the lead role of Francois Brink, a special forces soldier who steals the valuables from the scene of a cah-in-transit heist, in the kykNET action series Transito, from April to June, 2008.
