Bio

Phil Keoghan is a New Zealand-born television personality, best known for hosting the reality show The Amazing Race, since its 2001 debut.

He is also the creator and host of No Opportunity Wasted, which has been produced in the United States, his native New Zealand, and - later in 2007 - in Canada for the CBC.

Keoghan has worked all over the world as a cameraman, producer and host.

Since the age of 19, he has hosted more than 1000 program episodes, including his own internationally distributed series, "Keoghan's Heroes," which profiles famous thrill-seekers around the world.

Keoghan got his big break in front of the camera hosting the series "Spot On" when he auditioned while on an apprentice program in cinematography.

Since then, he has co-created and co-produced the primetime cable series "Phil Keoghan's Adventure Crazy," which is one of the highest-rated series on the Travel Channel in the United States and is currently broadcast worldwide.

His additional television credits include "Go for It," an extreme sports show, "Fox After Breakfast," a morning show, and "The 1998 Film Festival Awards."

In 1999, he co-hosted the primetime CBS special "Surprise, Surprise."

Keoghan was also executive producer and host of the Discovery Channel series "No Opportunity Wasted," which gave people from all over the United States the chance to live their dreams on national television.

Keoghan's book of the same name, published by Rodale, is a self-improvement and adventure book that inspires readers to "dream more freely and live more fully."

Originally from New Zealand, Keoghan lives with his wife and daughter in Los Angeles.
