Freddie Van'Dango is a South African singer best known as a Top 16 contestant on the seventh season of the M-Net reality competition Idols, in 2011.
He was also a Top 98 finalist in Season 6, in 2010.
Freddie is a full time musician who is currently recording his debut album, Red Horizon. He lives in a commune in Greenside and spends his Sundays helping out the charity organization Food Not Bombs, which helps feed the homeless in and around the Greenside area.
This contestant showed promise in Season 6 but just missed out, and he's taught himself how to play guitar - upside down.
Freddie is from Johannesburg.
