Kimberley contestant Thandi Steenkamp has been living in Cape Town since 2008, however she loves going back to Kimberly for holidays. "It is so peaceful and chilled in Kimberley, a nice change to the craziness in Cape Town."
Her favourite pastime depends on her mood, the weather and who she is with. "Anything from chilling at the beach, and watching the sunset on Signal Hill, or just being myself and doing something creative."
When Thandi first heard that she has been selected as one of the contestants on the Tropika Island of Treasure series, her first reaction "I am going to Thailand, I have to call my parents!"
Thandi uses the term "Chapampa" to describe herself and wishes she could absorb other people's power. Thandi is looking forward to the whole experience of a new place, culture and different vibe while she is in Phuket, Thailand.
She thinks Loyiso Gola could make the experience funny and if she wins the R1 million prize, she will invest until she has thought through every decision. |
