Maggie Lawson is an American actress best known for her starring role as Juliet O'Hara in the comedy-drama detective series Psych, from 2006-2014.

She also starred as Andrea Malone on the sitcom Crumbs, in 2006.

She co-starred in the comedy It's All Relative for ABC, and in the title role in Nancy Drew for The Wonderful World of Disney, also for ABC.

Lawson appeared with Christine Lahti in the CBS Movie of the Week, The Revenge of the Middle-Aged Woman, in which she played Lahti's daughter.

Other television credits include the female lead in the NBC comedy Inside Schwartz, as well as guest starring roles on shows such as ER, Smallville and Tru Calling.

In 2000 she starred in twin roles as a model and a nerdy student in the TV movie Model Behavior, which marked a turning point in her career.

Feature film credits include roles in the films Cheaters and Sheer Bliss, and she also appeared in a supporting role in Pleasantville.

Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, Lawson began her acting career in local community and dinner theatre productions when she was eight years old. She became a youth journalist for the local FOX station before moving to Los Angeles.

In her leisure time, Lawson enjoys singing and songwriting on her guitar. Along with her acting career, she continues to juggle her academia endeavours with courses at UCLA.

She has two dogs, Tristen and Dakota, and loves horseback riding, yoga and pottery.

She also has a starring role as Terry Gannon, Jr., a former All-American softball player and now manager of The Angles, who is determined to make a good life for her son Danny and herself, in the television sitcom Back in the Game.
