Taki Simeli is a South African model best known as one of the Top 12 finalists in the 2009 Miss South Africa pageant.

Taki Simeli is 22 years old and comes from Johannesburg. She is a third year BA Communications and English student at Varsity College in Sandton.
Taki wishes to pursue a future in communications. Her grandmother, Helen Ndou is her greatest inspiration, as she represents the true essence of a woman - she is strong-willed, loving, caring and dedicated to creating a better life for her family.
If she was to win Miss SA she would take the Miss SA Brand to young people in rural parts of the country that are isolated and cut-off from urban cities.
She would work closely with local officials to develop recreational facilities for the youth, focused on dealing with self -confidence issues.
"I want to win Miss SA so that I can have the same positive influence on young women, as Peggy-Sue Khumalo had on me as an 11-year-old girl dealing with self-identity issues."
