Clash of the Choirs 2: all the audition details

Auditions for the upcoming second season of Clash of the Choirs begin soon. They start in Jozi on Saturday, 15 February 2014 and wrap in Polokwane on Sunday, 9 March.

Auditions will take place at the audition venues in each region as well as in the surrounding areas. On the first day of auditions, the choirmasters will be scouting for talent in the streets of surrounding areas in each region. Musician and producer RJ Benjamin will spend the day scouting for talent at the actual audition venue.

Flash fact: All of the choirmasters are going to be different from Season 1.

On Day Two, the singers scouted by the choirmasters in the respective locations will come together with those who have made it onto RJ’s shortlist as well as anyone who could not make it on the Saturday.

The seven choirmasters will select their favourite 20 singers from all of the auditions who'll make-up their choirs.

Johannesburg
Dates: Saturday, 15 February and Sunday, 16 February 2014
Venue: The Market Laboratory - 3 President Street, Newtown.
Choirmaster: Lebo ‘Shugasmakx’ Mothibe

Durban
Dates: Saturday, 22 February and Sunday, 23 February 2014
Venue: Howard College Campus - UKZN University, Mazisi Kunene Rd (formerly King George V Avenue/South Ridge Road). Glenwood.

Bloemfontein
Dates: Saturday, 22 February and Sunday, 23 February 2014
Venue: The Civic Theatre - Corner Markgraaff Street and Elizabeth Street.

Mpumalanga
Dates: Saturday, 1 March 2014 and Sunday, 2 March 2014
Venue: Bombela Stadium - 1 Bafana Road, Mataffin, Nelspruit.

Eastern Cape
Dates: Saturday, 1 March and Sunday, 2 March 2014
Venue: East London - Eastern Cape Audio Visual Centre, 2 Buffalo Street, Quigney.

Cape Town
Dates: Saturday, 8 March and Sunday, 9 March 2014
Venue: Belmont Square Conference Centre - Belmont Square. Belmont Road. Rondebosch.

Polokwane
Dates: Saturday, 8 March and Sunday, 9 March 2014
Venue: Fusion Boutique Hotel - 4 Schoeman Street.

Audition must-knows:

You need to be 18 or older to enter.
You need to prepare a song to sing for your audition.
Auditionees need to be at each venue before 14h00 on each day in order to audition.

OHHHHHHH POOR NORTH WEST WILL ALWAYS BE LOOKED DOWN ON, WHY VELE??????????????? PLEASE CLASH OF CHOIRS HOW DO LEAVE US OUT AND WHY?......ITS A PITTY BECAUSE LAST YEAR WE WERE GIVEN SOMEONE WHO WAS NOT SERIOUS ABOUT THE CHOIR AND CERTAILY CARED LESS ON THE CHOIRS VICTROY, NOW COMES 2014 WE ARE NOT EVEN CONSIDERED IN THE COMPETITION.........YOU GUYS ARE REALLY CRUEL SHAM. HOPE YOU MAKE SOMETHING ABOUT THAT.
