Gospel, Love and Talk on Mzansi Magic with November
Khaya Mthethwa, Kenneth Nkosi and Linda Sibiya join Mzansi Magic!
There’s no need to wait for the festive season to stay entertained, Mzansi Magic has lined up premium quality entertainment to keep you glued to your television set throughout November!
Leading our November specials is the exciting new show Gospel Alive, hosted by Idols SA Season 8 and Clash of the Choirs: SA winner Khaya Mthethwa. Gospel Alive is set to lift your spirit from Sunday, 3 November at 19:00.
Every Sunday the Gospel Alive stage will be set on Mzansi Magic for an electrifying praise and worship experience from some of the country’s Gospel megastars including Rebecca Malope, Jabu Hlongwane, Keke and Sipho Makhabane to mention a few.
Fans - both in studio and at home - will get a chance to ask their favourite gospel musicians everything they have ever wanted to know, allowing viewers to tap into the artist’s innermost details.
Gospel Alive sees Khaya make his television debut as Musical Director. “Gospel Alive means more growth for me holistically and it gives me a great opportunity to cultivate my brand into something bigger," says Khaya.
"What excites me the most about the show is that it is a fresh concept. This show is going to go places South African Gospel shows have never been before. I am so honoured to be part of it and I can’t wait to see how Mzansi Magic viewers will embrace it,” he adds.
We move from praise and worship to matters of the heart on Thursday, 7 November with Wang Verstana, a game show that puts engaged couples’ knowledge of each other to the ultimate test.
As the host, Kenneth Nkosi helps the couples to judge whether their relationships are truly founded upon the three key factors of longevity: knowledge, communication and trust.
This from Kenneth: “Wang Verstana is a game show that offers young couples an opportunity to have fun with their relationship before they tie the knot and to showcase the positive side of their relationships by making fun of themselves. And from me, well, they can expect Kenneth Nkosi at his best: energetic, entertaining, funny and all out love”.
Wang Verstana debuts on Thursday, 7 November at 18:00 and is simulcast on Mzansi Magic and Mzansi Wethu. Set your auto-tune banner reminder accordingly to see love pushed to the wire.
Following Wang Verstana is the ground-breaking talk show Sifunu’ukwazi - hosted by charismatic radio personality Linda Sibiya - where the most noteworthy and interesting topics in the country will be thrashed out.
Sharing his excitement about hosting the show, Linda Sibiya says Sifunu’kwazi “is a life changing experience and I’m looking forward to being a part of the journey. I am passionate about making a difference in people’s lives and it is fulfilling to be able to do so on such a great platform.”
Africans have always loved a good conversation and Sifunu’kwazi stokes the fires around the conversation to keep it going strong every Thursday at 18:30 starting on 7th November. Simulcast on Mzansi Magic and Mzansi Wethu.
Lokshin Bioskop is back with no less than five new local films airing in November. Action man Ronnie Nyakale and television veteran Nthati Moshesh are some of the brilliant actors you can see on the four-part Lokshin Bioskop Series: Naledi.
The series tells the story of a man who has been robbed of his livelihood by a major mining firm and decides to fight back in order to regain some of his pride and dignity. Naledi kicks off on Saturday, 9 November at 19:00.
On Thursday, 21 November at 19:00, Lokshin Bioskop films continue to amaze with the film Lokshin Fashionista. A Glam Queen from the streets of Soweto is a fashion fiend on the quest to become the next Style Icon of SA.
She gets the opportunity of a lifetime working with a brilliant but bigoted fashion designer who is preparing for one of the biggest fashion shows in Johannesburg. Watch her as she goes through various challenges in an attempt to fulfil her dreams of becoming the next Gianni Versace on Soweto Fashionista.
