2013's in full swing and a new ninth season of
Idols has been confirmed.
The show returns to our screens in the first half of the year and will be searching for contestants from early February.
The auditions begin in Cape Town this year and wrap in Jozi in March. As you'll see, the auditions will be covering the same cities as
Season 8 which means that various regions are noticeably missing again, namely Bloemfontein, Polokwane and P.E.
The auditions are open to all South Africans between the ages of 16 and 30 and auditionees are once more allowed to take musical instruments into the auditions.

Must-Knows:Auditionees younger than 18 have to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
All contestants will be asked to present their ID documents at the registration.
All registration for the auditions takes place at the venues, on the dates above i.e. you must go on those days if you want to enter.
You need to be available to return to the auditions the following day if necessary.
As per usual, you should arrive as early as possible to get a spot in the que. Registration starts between 09h00 and 10h00 at each venue.
