He spends an hour waiting for his friend to meet up with him as arranged. In this hour, he meets people, some with different levels of amazement. All types of taxi commuters are the colour of this story.

A straight laced cop on the trail of those behind a series of freeway heists discovers that the perpetrator is the owner of the Paradise Truck Stop and his only friend in town.

He discovers that a gang of two-bit scoundrels are chasing after his ticket, and has to find the ticket before they do. Caught in the middle of all this is Sophie, the unwitting beautiful young lady who inadvertently helped Lucky win.

A naive yet talented young woman, Norma Tsedu, travels to Johannesburg from Limpopo to start her career as a story liner at Elite – a television production company under the leadership of the infamous Martinique Du Angel, Executive Producer of South Africa’s most popular soap opera.

Carnivorous Martinique is the most powerful woman in the television industry and has ferociously climbed her way up the industry making many enemies on her way up. Her ex-lover and main competitor, Romeo Kale, is her most hated enemy. Romeo, owner of rival company Mass Entertainment, is bidding against Elite to take over production of the soap opera.

The tensions are high because Elite Productions and Mass Entertainment share an office space, creating double tension for the employees working at both organisations. Easy going Norma is friends with Martinique and Romeo, who are more alike than even they would like to admit.

In an effort to create a harmonious office park for both company employees and for herself, Norma decides to play Cupid bringing Martinique and Romeo together in love… and in the process, finds love herself.

Meet 29 year old Veli Mhlongo, a successful businessman and together with his older brother, they run the family business MM-Enterprizes started by their now late father. Their mother is a high flying socialite who loves to keep up appearances.

Veli’s older brother Mandla (35) is the 1st born, thus the apple of mom’s eye. The story focuses on Veli who meets and falls in love with beautiful Nelisiwe. The pressure is on from family and friends (especially mom) for Veli to settle down and marry as he’s almost 30.

The 27 year old Neli however is “different”. She is a dark beauty. In other words her dark skin tone is not appealing to Veli’s mom who in her ‘old-school’ way of thinking, still sees fairer-skinned people as being better. She is unhappy with her son’s choice of a bride and makes no secret of that fact.

She tries everything in her power to get her son to forget about Neli…even threatening to dis-own him and his unborn child and have him out of the family will and business. Ma’Mhlongo resorts to evil in her quest to separate her beloved son with the woman he loves.

London, 1971. Terry is a smalltime crook, newly married, who trying to go straight. Smart Molly runs Molly’s Mop, ‘the’ hair salon in the township. Molly’s Mop is very popular; people wait in long queues to get Molly to style their hair and this has created a booming business for Jolly Molly. The dark side to all of this is that her Mojo attracts super bad boys more than anything else.

Handsome, in a Malcolm X sort of way, Musese, Molly’s best friend gives Molly advice. Musese is secretly in love with Molly and wants her to stop dating but hasn’t got the courage to tell her how he feels; he comes up with a plan.

If he can get Molly to buy into the fact that she has to save her Mojo by fasting from a specific thing...refraining from all sorts of dating for 3 whole months...then her Mojo will return.

WEDNESDAY 26 SEPTEMBER

Bernie and Itumeleng continue to deny their feelings for each other. Lindsay suffers from post-traumatic stress. Modise gets further embroiled in Isaac and Mama Rose's fight.

This format is just not working. Its like reading 20 drama/moviews/docis/// teasers in one. What I wanted to say though, is that I enjoyed Trevor Noah's documentary last night. I wish our reviewers had time to watch it just so we can talk about it here. I experienced all sorts of emotions watching the doci, laughter, sadness, anger, u name them. I wish the man all the best shame.
