Timothy, a Zimbabwean national came to yeoville in search of a better life in South Africa. After many unsuccessful attempts in getting a job he settles for a job of a night watchman to watch the community wall and protect it from vandalism.
The city of Johannesburg is considering privatizing its services and this means half of the workers could be jobless, as their services will be outsourced to entrepreneurs. Jabu Vilakazi is a tenderprenuer exploiting the lives of ordinary people with his dream of opening a labor recruitment agency to service the municipality.

Nothando and Fumi continue to clash and then, when disaster strikes Miranda kicks Kwezi out of Africa Style Week. Nomsa, in an attempt to get closer to Mzi, tries to make peace with Nothando, Lira and Lizzie. But her attempt backfires when Mzi is not impressed with her manipulations.
Gus is asked to do an unusual job and Gus and Thuli agree that the work they are doing with MK and JP is somehow what they hoped it would be, the chance to get their hands into MK’s pocket and get Thuli some of what she deserves..

Zoid, a widower finds himself alone and lonely in the big city with only his work to comfort him. On his way home one evening, he bumps into a lady of the night, Pearl, who asks him for a light. As he lights her cigarette he notices her beautiful but forlorn face and finds himself strangely fascinated to her.
He invites her to his place. To her surprise Zoid refuses to sleep with her but is willing to pay for her companionship. They spend the night chatting until the morning, realising they have a lot in common but for the fact of her trade.
They part ways but a few days later Zoid returns to the spot where he first met Pearl but he sees her leaving with a client. Disappointed, Zoid returns to his lonely life. But Zoid’s life is about to change.

MK, who is expecting to win the tender with Thuli, receives some troubling words from Ma’Dlamini.

Kwezi and Mkhuseli have a serious heart to heart and, after some good advice, he agrees to let his father help him with Miranda. Nothando struggles to come to terms with Mzi’s relationship with Nomsa, but Pascal and Lira persuade her to think about Mzi and try to reconcile with this relationship.
Mk’s business affairs start to unravel when his tender is not successful and his attempts to deal with the Taxi Association backfire.
Beggar at 21h00
Richard Ntuli and Dinesh Singh are friends who come from the once divided communities of Kwa Mashu and Phoenix in Durban. The road that separated their respective townships was crossed and a bond was forged that saw these two boys grew to become best of friends, studying at the same college.
Their convictions are tested when the lecturer tasks them with a project that they are required to do together. A seemingly easy task of filming wild life takes a nasty turn when they decide to base their project on the life of a hapless beggar whom they encounter on their way home. Richard‘s attitude toward the white beggar is that he is deserving of his suffering.
TUESDAY 28 AUGUST

Modise can't shake the feeling that his father's death was not natural. Khumo and Diksie find it hard to conceal their possible pregnancy. Jack's presence in the Van Reenen home unsettles Karel and Tristan.

Nothando, thinking about her father’s best interests, puts aside her concerns and invites Nomsa to dinner with the family. MK does a deal with Miranda on behalf of Kwezi and arranges a supper with Thuli and Gus.
Meanwhile Kwezi and Nothando admit that their parents’ ‘dating’ was not what they expected at all. The problems with the Taxi Association get worse, Gus is at risk, Thuli is in the dark and Mk receives a terrible proclamation and the news that if he does not get Nomsa back his empire will collapse around him.

Diksie is desperate to be a mother and Lelo realises that her role as Tiro's wife will have to change. RaTladi's body is returned home. Itumeleng tries to find refuge with Bernie and seduces her.

Mk turns to Madlamini his Sangoma to help him with his business problems while he strives to get Nomsa home. But he cannot do what Madlamini advises to be done without lying to his son.
Preparations for dinner with Nomsa go on at the Khumalos while Mzi reconnects with Shakes in memory of their dead wives. Lira sees an opportunity for a quick win and the path to being a model, but when her schemes are discovered she is forced to make a touch choice about who she really is and what she really wants to be.

Richard Ntuli and Dinesh Singh are friends who come from the once divided communities of Kwa Mashu and Phoenix in Durban. The road that separated their respective townships was crossed and a bond was forged that saw these two boys grew to become best of friends, studying at the same college.
Their convictions are tested when the lecturer tasks them with a project that they are required to do together. A seemingly easy task of filming wild life takes a nasty turn when they decide to base their project on the life of a hapless beggar whom they encounter on their way home. Richard‘s attitude toward the white beggar is that he is deserving of his suffering.
