Season 3 of Patricia Lewis' reality show
Supersterre premieres on SABC2 on
Friday, 19 March 2010 at 19h30 and the final auditions are coming up - starting this Friday (29 January).
The season was scheduled to premiere in 2009 but was held over until this year following Patricia Lewis's battle with tumours on her vocal cords.
A rebroadcast of
Season 2 is currently on SABC2 on Saturday nights at 20h00, while Season 3 goes into a final round of auditions.
The show began auditions after Season 2 and put them on hold when the show didn't happen last year.
Those auditions still count so if you entered then and made the Top 150, you're still part of it. More is explained about this below.
We've been flooded with mail requesting more information about the show and how to enter. The good news for hopefuls is that auditions are still open and coming up soon in Cape Town, Jozi and Bloemfontein.
Audition Venues
The final auditions are happening at these venues, on these dates:

15h00. The winners of each round of auditions will be announced at 19h00 - at Patricia's evening show at each of the venues. Tickets for these shows are available at
computicket and cost R50.
Audition Must-Do'sAuditionees need to prepare an English and Afrikaans song from the Supersterre 1 or 2 album.
Important Semi-Final News
150 semi-finalists are being chosen from all of the auditions.
Some have already been chosen from auditions that happened when the show was supposed to start last year, while others will be selected from this final round of upcoming auditions.
If you've already auditioned for the show and been selected as one of the 150 semi-finalists, you don't need to attend these upcoming final round of auditions but you do need to be at the semi-finals.
The semi-finals take place at Carnival City on
12 February at 09h00, where the Top 10 will be announced.
If you make the Top 10 of the show, you'll need to be available to film at Carnival City on these dates:
February: 14, 15, 21, 22, 28
March: 1, 7, 8, 15, 16, 21, 22, 28, 29
June: 8
