Season 2

Season 2 delves into the family history of six familiar faces, tracing their ancestry and revealing secrets and surprises from their pasts.

The series gives viewers the tools to dig into their own pasts and uncover the part their ancestors played in shaping their lives today.

In new episodes, viewers follow British soap actor Sheila Hancock (EastEnders) as she traces the origins of an old sepia-tinted photograph of an unknown woman.

Golden Globe nominee Stephen Fry seems as English as the London black cab he drives, and most would presume that his family history would be that of the quintessential English family. But Fry's maternal ancestry guides him through his Jewish, Austrian born mother Marianne's immigration to Britain.

His paternal grandfather's story is traced from Britain, through Vienna, ultimately leading to Surany in Slovakia.

Also featured in Who Do You Think You Are? 2 is British television personality Julian Clary, who starts his search for answers based on a family tree he created when he was a child. He traces his grandfather and great grandfather's steps through Germany during both World Wars.

Also probing their pasts with gusto this season are Jane Horrocks of Absolutely Fabulous fame and Gurinda Chadha from the hit film Bend It Like Beckham.
