Max's character bio: Max is a good man, not a soft man. He’s a man of immovable principles, noble, strong, but somewhat hard-edged. He’s a man’s man, although he can be solitary and singular. He’s a man of deep thoughts, considered opinions but few words. He meets Elizabeth in the story when her tyre bursts and he comes to her rescue. She is superficially his antithesis - open to a fault, over-sharing, and chaotic. But on a deeper level, they are each other’s mirror - honest, loyal, passionate about making a difference in the world, authentic. He sees her clearly the first time they meet and he has a deep sense that she’s the woman for him. He doesn’t woo or romance her though. He gets to know her and when he’s sure, he’s decisive and frank about wanting to make a life with her. The major obstacle is that he doesn’t want kids, Elizabeth does. Will their love conquer their differences?
