How horrible! May he rest in peace. When they say "former" is it because he is now late or that he was no longer occupying that position at the time of his passing?

We've checked with e who tell us it's because he wasn't with the channels anymore. It's not clear what he was doing most recently though because his Facebook page says former anchor at e.tv and his Linked In still has his e anchoring. Here's an insert they did on him:
