The light stays bright.
Everyone needs a guardian angel in this crazy, chaotic world of ours and Glow TV has one.
As
we told you in early May, the channel was supposed to shut down today (30 June) because of financial constraints but it isn't going anywhere because someone's stepped in to save it.
The Nis Media Group has bought it from Urban Brew Studios who manage it for Kagiso Media so it's staying on air on all of the platforms it currently airs on (DStv, StarSat and OpenView HD.)
Nis Media is a Centurion based media company who own various publications including nine community newspapers in the Gauteng area.
According to the head of Nis Media, Nazeer Noormohamed, the decision was made because the company believes that "Glow TV has great potential and can continue to impact positively on the South African market."
Which it always has. The channel has made a positive contribution to the TV landscape
in various ways since it launched in 2013 so it's a Very Positive Thing that someone's stepped up to save it.
The channel will continue with its existing programming through July and new content will added from August.
