Episode 36

Selo hits the bottle after being robbed of his gambling winnings. Nkonzo releases Buzwe from jail and is reinstated to the force. Buzwe takes Tsietsi's case. Selo appoints a new mortician.

Episode 37

The Biyela's admit to vandalizing Monwabisi's grave and demand payment. Mpho and Tsietsi fix the grave secretly. Reba finds out that Buzwe is representing Tsietsi.

Episode 38

Tsietsi is desperate to make money so that they can pay Buzwe. Nokulunga puts her life at great risk. Selo feels dethroned in his own company when the staff obey Reba's orders and ideas instead of his. Mandlakazi wants to play matchmaker between Reba and Buzwe.

Episode 39

Mandlakazi is vindicated when she sees Monwabisi outside the window holding his heart. Tsietsi and Mpho go on a date. Reba gives Buzwe an ultimatum. Damian learns that Violet has been evicted from her Dainfern apartment.

Episode 40

The Namanes lose the military contract. Mandlakazi is getting desperate, sensing Monwabisi's unsettled spirit. Violet and Damian decide to move in together but it quickly proves a challenge. Tsietsi is shocked when he realizes who kidnapped him.

Episode 41

Nkonzo searches for Tsietsi after he missed his bail check-in. Reba accuses Buzwe of helping Tsietsi run away. Mandlakazi decides she is going to fast until Monwabisi appears to her again. Mandlakazi suffers a heart attack.

Episode 42

Selo's debt to Amos comes back to haunt the family business. Kgosi continues to torture Tsietsi in an attempt to get him to deal arms through Namane Funerals.

Episode 43

Selo and Mickey make a plan to rescue Tsietsi. The Namanes have to service a R300 000 funeral with no money. Selo sells Mandlakazi's car and gambles. Violet and Damian decide to work together on the Khathide funeral and bury their rivalry.

Episode 44

Tsietsi and Selo have a civil father and son conversation. Buzwe quits as Tsietsi's lawyer. Selo, Violet and Damian manage to pull off a plush presentation for the Kathides, with furniture from the house. Zungu connects the warehouse to Kgosi.

Episode 45

Selo tells Mandlakazi the truth about her heart. Tsietsi finds out that he is in Kgosi's bad books again. The Namane Funerals' financial woes are starting to show and Violet is concerned about the business as well as her own future.

Episode 46

It's the day of the ritual but the bad luck continues. The Namane offices are burgled. Reba and Tsietsi are challenged when they have to wash each other's feet in a gesture of forgiveness. DJ Miza is back in town and Damian pretends to be Violet's boyfriend.

Episode 47

Mickey warns Tsietsi and Selo about Kgosi. Mandlakazi fights tooth and nail to convince Selo and the rest of the Namane Family that the twins' birthday celebration is going to happen.

Episode 48

Selo is tempted to sell Mandlakazi's jewels. Selo plays Makhoza. Mandlakazi's interview becomes a tribute to Monwabisi. Reba and Buzwe make up.

Mpho and Tsietsi bond as they go for the paternity test. Mpho is shot at by Kgosi’s goons as a warning to the Namanes. The Namane employees are angry that they haven't been paid.

Episode 49

The whole family is shaken after hearing about the shooting. Reba is still resistant to celebrating her birthday. Selo accepts MaKhoza's money, and pays her back in kind. The go slow at Namane turns into a tools down, as strike action kicks into effect.

Episode 50

Reba tells Tsietsi that she wants him to sign over his share of Namane Funerals. Conflict between Nokulunga and Mandlakazi mounts high. Employees at Namane Funerals are paid their salaries in cash. Damian dreads his upcoming 15 year high school reunion.

Monday 23 May 2016
Episode 51

Selo goes to see Kgosi in prison. Laura visits Selo and Mickey. Selo forbids Tsietsi from being part of the gun run. Tsietsi goes to Buzwe to get his money back. Tsietsi goes to Selo and Mandlakazi for help after being kicked out by Nokulunga. Violet buys a gift for Miza but hides it from Damian.

Episode 52

Nokulunga visits Mandlakazi. Selo and Mickey do their first gun run. Tsietsi receives the paternity results.

Episode 53

Reba lands herself into the firearms trafficking exchange and has a gun to her head. Tsietsi wants to send an official letter to Mpho's family in order to make amends and get married properly. Miza surprises Violet at work. Damian takes over coordinating the high school reunion.

Episode 54

Selo and Mickey's plan to cut Kgosi out of the firearms trafficking. Buzwe fesses up to Reba about having Tsietsi back as his client. Tsietsi helps Mpho through a panic attack. Mandlakazi and Nokulunga remain at loggerheads. Violet moves in with Miza.

Episode 55

Kgosi is suspicious when he doesn't hear from Laura. Nokulunga and Mandlakazi are getting used to being partners in business. Mandlakazi rejects an offer of help from Makhoza. Violet and Damian have a fight. Kgosi sends goons for Mickey and Selo but they end up shooting someone else by mistake.

As Selo and Mickey try to deal with the unexpected dilemma. Mandlakazi is inadvertently drawn into the saga. Mandlakazi is beside herself with grief at the unexpected loss. Nokulunga approaches Makhoza to work with the catering business.

Mandlakazi tries to hold it together at work and in the catering company, plagued by the secret of the death.

The Biyelas could be one of the people that Selo owes money to. Selo is a typical addict, instead of using the money that he has to pay off his debts, he goes to gamble in the hopes of doubling his money. We should introduce the Namanes to a concept called a bank, where you can go and borrow money at reasonable interest rates instead of just going to a Mashonisa.

I see Kazi is off her rocker. Sad state of affairs indeed. She is still at the denial stage of the grief. I see Nkonzo has a hard-on for the Namanes specifically Tsietsi. My gut tells me that there is a story behind this borderline obsession of his. I mean that guy has a wall dedicated to Tsietsi at home.

By the way, Nkonzo needs to invest in some 100 watts lights his place looked so dingy and seedy. The guy has a file cabinet in his dining room.

Hi guys, I missed Heist last night, did the gang pull the heist off? I also missed Ukhakhayi.

On Ashes, there was a very nice song playing in the background at the Shebeen where Sello and that lady were having drinks, does anyone know the title and artist of the song? Shazam did not pick it up at all :-(

Indeed @Timone, but they almost didn't get away cos when Flash went to get the getaway car it didn't start, he ended up having to go there with a golf cart to find the lady waiting for him with plastic bags full of money. They used wheely bins to transport the money from the safe. They got away clean. Meanwhile Gorgeous had his goons waiting at the parking to take the money but they didn't use the parking and Gorgeous was not impressed.

Well @Zinga, here is something for you.

Detective Zungu is undercover, a double agent. She has been feeding Tsietsi’s lawyer information for a little fee of cos. Buzwe went to meet Tsietsi but he was not there. Meanwhile Nkonzo was waiting for Tsietsi to show up so he can arrest him but Buzwe and his lawyer stopped him just in time before he was caught violating his parole. Meanwhile Selo woke up in field somewhere and he was declaring his undying love for money which I guess he won at the gambling tables. He sneaked in and out of the house and he went to work reeking of alcohol. The annoying old lady was back, doing her usual shtick about wanting the best and she accused Violet of not knowing what she was doing. He refused to help Dae and Violet with the old lady and Dae later found him and he gave a stack of money to go and take care of the old lady’s funeral. Tsietsi was still at his woe is me, after figuring out that it was a set up and he suspected Selo but he eventually thought that it could be his mother setting him up. Nokulunga went to confront Mandlakazi accusing her of not caring about Tsietsi cos she she wants to send him to jail.

Hi @Popo, I must say that I feel like I am living in the twilight zone with the A2A. I mean almost everyone was up in arms last night about the possibility of Tsietsi getting arrested, and everyone seems to have forgotten that he killed his bloody brother. Yeah, it was Spikiri laying there @ Nunu, Mnqobi told his goons to hurt him to teach him a lesson about another woman's wife. I feel last night's episode of Ukhakhayi was much better than last week's one. Am gonna give it a chance cos they are still introducing the characters. It was interesting to see how rural politics play out and alliances are formed. I smell a love triagle between Zamampondo, Sabelo and Madoda. I noticed an interesting fact as well last night, Dumisani Mbebe is the execuitive producer.

We saw Taunyane's karate skills on Shabangu's guys, they ran to the car & drove off.

The blue eye girl who came to the station looking for Nkonzo was found in the field dead with more blue eyes they suspect the bf/hubby. Ms Zungu (the police lady) blames Nkonzo because he was given the case but he didn't even read the file he was busy with the Namanes.

Selo still drinks at the office.

Buzwe came to Reba's office with the picnic busket & the bottle (remember she had dinner plans with Stitch), she tried to chase Buzwe away but he was so persistence. Stitch arrived at the reception with flowers. Dae & Vi tried to stop him from going to Reba's office saying she's busy with the make-up lady he must go to the restaurant they will meet there (you know those two). Stitch refused to go and went to Reba's office, Vi tried to call Reba, Buzwe said she must ignore the call...... then kissed Reba that's when Stitch came in......

Well, I think that was not a very smart move by Thembi getting the guy that dugged Andile arrested like that, he might actually enter into a plea bargain just to save his skin. He might offer the Prosecutors information abiut Andile's kidnapping.

Welcome back maAshes who had a LONG LONG weekend.

On Friday they showed us Nkonzo's mother I noticed that she was wearing black (uzilile) which means the Namane's might has done something wrong at his father's funeral that's why he wants revenge, like one of you had highlighted before.

But what is the role of Nkonzo's mom she appeared only to ask him to buy milk??????????? that didn't make sense to me.

I think it's not right for 1 actor to act 2 roles on different dramas at the same time as Nokuthula is acting both Tshidi & Dumile's role anyway right now both charactors annoys me.
