27-year-old Akhumzi Jezile steps up as the new host of Fan Base tonight in the Season 5 premiere on SABC1 at 18h00.
Here are five things that you need to know about him:
1. He landed his big break in 2007 on SABC1's YOTV where he hosted various YOTV shows.
2. He went on to produce one of YOTV's most popular shows, The Big Breakfast.
3. He's a Tempy Pusha of note. He starred as Ngulube on both seasons of the show to date and won the 2014 SAFTA for Best Supporting Actor in a TV Drama for the role.
4. He also starred as Tsietsi Zwane in the SABC1 comedy-drama series Khululeka Siyavota.
5. He was a radio presenter on Umhlobo Wenene and speaks four languages: Xhosa, English, Zulu and Sotho.
Bonus 6th point: he spent the December holidays in Durbs with his pals and saw in 2016 by Come Duze'ing on SABC1.
