Adventure cooking show Ultimate Braai Master has landed a fifth season renewal and is on a search for a new crowd of contestants to take on the challenge.

The series is looking for 13 teams of partners to embark on an adventure along the eastern coast of South Africa while cooking up a storm on open fires along the route.

The season's route starts on the Garden Route and from here teams will cover thousands of kilometers over 60 days. Word from the production is that the route covers the treacherous terrain of one of South Africa’s most outlandish, rugged and breathtaking territories.

Series producer and bush-fundi Justin Bonello returns to host and the show will air on e.tv and Travel Channel.

Who can enter?

The competition is open to all food lovers, aged 18 years and older. You must be a South African citizen with a valid driver’s license.

The prize

The winning team will land themselves R500,000, a new car and the title of Ultimate Braai Master.

How to enter

If you'd like to be part of the show's recipe, you enter by filling in the application form here: Ultimate Braai Master entries.

Entries close at the end of March.

Ingenuity... ja, it really looks like a fun show to do. I imagine another challenge for people who want enter is the time - it's filmed over 70 days so how would one manage it with a full-time job? People obviously do but I imagine it's a limitation for many. Reckon it would give one a very positive and energising shift in perspective.
