It’s been exactly a year since Generations returned as The Legacy after the soapie’s 2014 meltdown. It made its comeback a year ago today (1 December) and put an exclamation mark on its anniversary last night with the tragedy that struck Simphiwe and Mazwi’s wedding when Simphiwe ended her suffering by taking her own life.
The storyline marks Asanda Foji’s exit from the show but what about Gadaffi? Vuyo Dabula joined the soapie as one of the newcomers last year and has since been involved in a blitz of contract negotiations. The show announced that he was leaving and the next minute there were rumblings that he wasn’t and then no-one knew for sure.
We’ve been receiving similar queries about him and the
December teasers offer a notable clue. The show’s been very hush-hush about whether he’s staying or going but as you’ll see from the teasers, Gadaffi’s in the action throughout the month. All of the cast whose contracts weren’t renewed are nowhere to be seen but Gadaffi’s definitely in the thick of things.
